Bethel, a Kodiak bear at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, is one of the longest-lived bears of her type in the world.
She is the only Kodiak bear in Australasia and despite her age, zookeepers say she is doing fine, although she does suffer from arthritis.
Deb Olsen, one of Bethel's keepers, said: "This is a huge treat. She was bashing at the door as she could smell that salmon coming in.
"So, yeah, she knows it's a special day when she sees the big salmon there, and that will keep her going for quite some time."
Officials removed Adolf Hitler Campbell and his sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, from their home in Holland Township, Sergeant John Harris said.
But the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) did not reveal the reason why the children were taken into the custody of the state, he told Fox News.
The children's father Heath Campbell is expected in court today in New Jersey in connection with the case.
Kate Bernyk, a spokeswoman for the DYFS, said confidentiality laws prevented her from confirming the Campbell children were involved.
"DYFS has their reasons and they normally don't release any information, so we kind of have to go on faith with them," Sergeant Harris said.
"I've dealt with the family for years and as far as the children are concerned, I have never had any reports of any abuse with the children.
"As far as I know, he's always been very good with the children."
In December, a shop refused to sell a birthday cake to Mr Campbell and his wife Deborah because they asked for three-year-old Adolf Hitler's name to be iced onto it.
Bakers ShopRite said it would be "inappropriate" to put such a name on a cake and added they would not be willing to provide a cake for JoyceLynn Aryan Nation when she turns two in February.
Mr Campbell said he named his son after Hitler because he liked the name and because "no-one else in the world would have that name".

Experts say the worm has "skyrocketed" in recent days.
It is sweeping through thousands of offices in the UK and has affected computers at the Ministry of Defence.
The virus - known variously as Conficker, Kido or Downadup - burrows deep into the operating system and tricks the machine into running the infected program.
Once the worm is running on the computer it automatically starts to download more malicious programs from hackers' websites, with devastating effects.
The majority of computers infected by the worm, which was first identified in October, are in Russia, China, Brazil and India. But the virus is now taking hold in the UK.
The worm has password cracking capabilities, often successful because company passwords sometimes match a predefined password list that it carries.
Eddy Willems, a security analyst with anti-virus firm Kaspersky Labs, said that a new strain of the worm was now causing additional problems.
Computer users are advised to ensure their anti-virus software, operating system and firewall is up to date, and that they have installed a Microsoft patch designed to combat the problem.
Experts have also warned the virus could spread by copying itself to USB memory sticks shared between computers, and urged users to use caution.
His visit comes as Israel continues to pull its troops out of Gaza.
It plans to complete the withdrawl by the time Barack Obama is sworn in as US president this afternoon.
Mr Ban will be the highest-ranking international figure to visit Gaza since the halt in the fighting on Sunday.
First Israel, then the militant group Hamas declared ceasefires, which have so far held up.
The truce was brokered by Egypt where an emergency international summit was held to cement the peace.
More 1,300 Palestinians, many of them women and children, were killed during the hostilities.
Israeli airstrikes left Gaza's infrastructure in ruins with the repair bill put at $1.9bn.
Hamas said 5,000 homes, 16 government buildings and 20 mosques were destroyed and that 20,000 houses were damaged.
Israel has said militants hid weapons inside the mosques.
In Geneva, the head of the World Health Organisation has warned of a looming health crisis among the 1.5 million Palestinians living in Gaza.
Saudi Arabia has pledged $1bn for the reconstruction effort, while the international community has promised additional relief.
